The red dots signify good luck, and the black ones carry misfortune. So says the mole map. This is an illustration you would typically find outside a mole removal boutique.
“凶” shows up a lot in the mole map. It refers to a non-specific misfortune. According to the description to the left of the illustration, it could mean bad luck in your career, marital troubles, money loss, poor health, and trouble from friends
For those of you who can’t read Chinese, this might help. Just grab friend to help translate the rest. And one more important point – any mole that has hair growing on it is believed to be good luck, irregardless of its position
In KL, it will cost you RM10 to remove a standard mole, and RM30 for a large one. Last year, I paid about RM120 to remove a total of 11-13 moles (I lost count). The only two moles I didn’t remove still remains on my ear which signifies intelligence
I don’t believe in all this superstition but I wanted to clear my face up, so I got rid of them. The ones on my ear aren’t obvious, so I left them alone, which would have otherwise cost me another RM20.

If you’ve got moles on your body, you can find their meanings here.
